Free income-tax preparation is available at Santa Fe Community College now until April 17 through a partnership of the city of Santa Fe, the federal Internal Revenue Service and other organizations.
The mayor and City Council support the program, which provides a valuable service free of charge to low- to moderate-income working families, seniors and students, according to a statement from City Hall.
To be eligible for this free service, one of the following criteria must be met:
- Your household income is less than $39,500.
- You are a senior.
- You are a Santa Fe Community College student, faculty or staff member.
- You are a city or public-school employee.
